Hey,
I love to read a lot and I do that since I was a little kid. Of course my reading habits change but in general I read a lot from all genres. At the moment I'm trying to catch up with some classical stuff, esp. from the early 20th century. But I need a lot of variation so I'm open to and grateful for any recommendations.

I really appreciated the duality of Dorian's character, as well as the way that Wilde constructs the notion of "influence" and how actions have repercussions. All in all? I liked the book, didn't love it. I mean, I'm not too into the gothic-esque influenced novel. But for the genre that it was, I appreciate Wilde's construction and allegorical content. Well written and intriguing, most appropriate for its time.

Thanks for the nice comments, happy reading!

I have only read a few chapters so far (really not making much progress as I am reading too many books at the same time), but if I ever manage get any further, I'll let you know :) Do let me know what you think! I have the Collector's Library edition with an afterword by Nigel Cliff.
Kan vel ikkje seia at eg snakkar svensk, men har ingen problem med å forstå det :) Les ein del svensk (og dansk) litteratur i originalutgåve.

Yes, I have. I read it in English, which isn't actually my native language, but I also didn't have a hard time with it. I have always enjoyed old English and old tales, so I liked it. :)
