Karima

I'm on a ferocious reading spree at the moment. I just recently moved to New Zealand and am trying to deal with the cold here (it's freezing!) by staying in front of the fire with my books. When it gets warmer I'll venture out. Until then.... I'm feeding my addiction to books!

    hi love,

How's it going? Someone just sent me an email that had that pic you're using as an avatar. Really gorgeous. Are you familiar with the artist?

hope you're well. Still reading Ben Okri's 'The Famished Road'... let's talk about him on the phone sometime, yah? He's certainly one of the stalwart authors of our continent. you should Absolutely read anything he's written just about.

Good to hear from you. I am about half way through the Mother Teresa book. She is inspiring but it is not a simple read like a novel. I am also reading The Measure of a Man: A Spiritual Autobiography by Sidney Poitier. He is also very inspiring and teaches many wonderful lessons about living a meaningful life. Next week is a holiday week for my family as it is Thanksgiving. My daughters and their husbands will be home for the traditional turkey dinner. Hope work gets easier for you.

I liked your post on shout it out. You are totally right arguing with Meesh does go on forever. I spent over 2 days of my life attached to the computer constantly responding. I thank you for your example. Next I will follow your lead because it was a waste of my time arguing on something that Meesh and I totally disagreed on. Thanks! =)

    Hi Karima,

I enjoyed being in bookclubs. It is great fun to hear different points of veiw on the same book. Maybe you can start a book club in your new country or try the local library and see if there are any bookclubs that you can join. Happy Reading!
