As you can see from the books I like to read, I love history no matter what form it takes: travel, fiction, non-fiction, even memories. My Enemy s Tears: The Witch of Northampton is my first published novel and it is set in 17th century New England. At present I am working on a novel set in 1999, a mystery with flashbacks to events occurring... more »

    Hi Karen -
Thanks for the note and the "follow". Yes, I guess my shelf is quite a mixture.
I have to admit that some of the Shakespeare was required reading in high school, but now - more then 40 years later - I am re-reading some and actually get it and enjoy it now! Thanks to Kindle and Public Domain books - his works are all free now!
I do love a good Western - can't tell you how many of them have the Romeo and Juliet theme! They just solve their feuds with six-shooters!

I enjoy browsing your shelf as well. Thanks for a Great review of I, Claudius - I never read that one, but will have to put it on my list.

    Nice 'meeting' you.

    Hi Karen,
Thanks for your note. I see that your current novel is set in Grand Junction. Do you remember the drive-in Dairy Queen next to the golf course? My family and I were in the drive-through lane waiting for our order when "bang!" our Nissan van was hit by a stray golf ball. The van is long gone, but we always smile when we remember Grand Junction. I look forward to reading your book.
    Best,
    Craig
