Hi Kailorien: I was reviewing your book shelf and found we have very similar taste in books. I, too, love all Francine Rivers books, well some are better than others, and I also loved the Clan of the Cave Bear series. I live in Southern California and have always wanted to go to Austrailia. Perhaps some day. My husband got to visit Sidney last year with one of his friends. He loved it and the water taxis, and the bats and the Blue Mountains, . . . everything.

Mind you once I get them, there's no guarantee that my kids will love them as much as I did...that happened with The Wind in the Willows too. Funny how that works...

I haven't been able to get my hands on any Brumby books...I think I have to special order them. I 'm going to check online.

I really didn't like the hobbit as much. Maybe I was just too old the first time I read it. i think if I had read it when I was fourteen I would have liked it more.
Lord of the Rings was great, but you are right about the language. I didn't find it difficult to understand, but I did find it very tedious and long sometimes. Especially in the first book. Some of the descriptive chapters just dragged on and on.

No, I'm not a member. Never bothered to sign up. My graphics and photography skills suck. But I do spend a good bit of time browsing there and I liked your horse pictures.
The only reason I remembered your screen name was because it sounded like something out of "Lord of the Rings" My favorite fantasy book.

Do you post images on DeviantArt under the same name? When I saw your friend request, I thought I had seen your name (Kailorien) before.
