Hi, I have always liked books but have a fairly big variety. When I had time, in high school or university -in Germany- I was quite literary and read a number of classics. When I was 12 I read my first Agatha Christie and got hooked on mysteries, read them extensively and still do, with a penchant for the cozies but I also adore Patricia Cornwell and can handle Karen Slaughter.
Now, with also being a mom and working part time I have read a bit of chick lit just for the fun and relaxation of it and try to read a good contemporary book now and then and may be even a classic once in a while but it is not easy to get the discipline. Lived in the US for a while with a great book club, then it is easier to read well and find good new books. But I have friends plying me with good books and the kids will get older and, Shelfari is great, too.
