I am a stickler for the rules but that doesn't mean I can't have fun. WITHIN REASON!

No matter how strange it sounds I love language and English word origins. So if I spell anything wrong or my grammar isn't right,...more »

*** Spoiler Alert for Special Topics in Calamity Physics ***

Hi Justin, thought I'd answer your question here, since you're not planning to read the book.

What happens? Blue and the other kids that meet up at Hannah's house regularly, go for a hiking weekend with Hannah. Hannah then disappears, and Blue finds her back, hanging on an electrical wire. Police verdict: suicide. Blue does not believe this and starts investigating.

Then it becomes quite odd, but it turns out that Hannah was one of the main characters of a political group in the '70s/'80s (but apparently still active). She had disappeared and taken a new name, in order not to be found by the authorities. When Blue tells her father of this, her father dismisses this possibility. The next day he disappears, taking clothes and personal belongings with him.

Hannah is killed because some investigator is on the brink of finding out about the group that Hannah, and it turns out, Blue's father were involved in (the investigator himself is killed early on in the story by Hannah (verdict by police: accident)).

So Blue ends up on her own, but manages to graduate.

    That's the short version! :-)

Haha, no we don't do that first-of-the-month-punch here, but I like it :)

Sorry, I don't have a chance to look at those links looks at the mo' but I'll get to them soon!

Yes, they say we might be heading towards a second Great Depression... lovely.

Well not all schools get Jewish holidays off, but we do because I go to a public school and we have a good amount of Jews in our school. It's rather unfortunate my friend doesn't get those extra days off... (she goes to a Catholic school- that's be funny if she ever had the day off.) We get a Thanksgiving break (too bad pilgrims never founded your place), a Christmas break, a spring break (in which Spanish classes ranging from levels 2-4 have a chance to go to Seville, Spain- I might go!! :D This is also around the time of Easter), and the summer break. The occasional holiday such as labor day, or a Jewish holiday, we also have off.

Homecoming... oh, homecoming. It has nothing to do with a reunion for previous students. Which is weird. There is a parade one day (this year it was Wednesday) where I had march in the band. Thursday was the soccer game (which we won- yes!). And then tonight is the big game night. Futbol Americano. We (the band) do a special half time show, including the alma matter, we introduce alumni members and then announce the homecoming queen and attendants. Then tomorrow, Saturday, is the homecoming dance (a big deal, you can go in a group, with a date, or go stag.). It's just as big as our winter formal dance. So, speaking of homecoming, I'm leaving to perform the half time show in... oh, geez, less than ten minutes. So I have to go. :)

WATCH THIS, it explains things better than I do ;)

p.s. sorry, I didn't have time to proof read this, so pardon any mistakes!! :)

Last login 18 minutes ago? Are you on now?

Yes, I've been to two of DMB's concerts. One this summer, and the summer of 07. I've been to an American Idol concert about 2 or 3 years ago, and me and my friend had the chance of actually meeting them all. We got their autographs, it was very cool...!

Hm, John Butler rings a bell but I'm not sure I can place him. What's one of their songs?

I got my ipod about 3 years ago, so it's just a simple nano. I like it though. I have 300-some songs along with solitare!! whoo hoo!

"Tradition" is the only legitimate excuse our band director has for making us wear the costumes...

Ech, blech, Palin... The only things on the news here are presidential updates and how our economy and stock markets suck. Spreadin' the love...

Haha, that link is funny. I love youtube :D

There's this amazing program I found. It's called Cooliris. If you google it and click on the first link, (or just go to www.cooliris.com) you can download it for free and it takes about 60 seconds. It's like a 3D wall of pictures or even video you can search. There's an example on the site, but it's kind of fuzzy. It's so cool, that's all I use now when I'm looking for a picture or a video. here's a link: http://www.cooliris.com/ :)

Today is Tuesday, but we have off because it's a Jewish holiday. I have work today as well, but there's no bus to drop me off, so I have to walk in the rain. Not to mention I have to read all of The Count of Monte Cristo minus the 56 pages I've already read by... Thursday or Friday. Wednesday is our homecoming parade, and I'm marching in it for the band. Saturday is the actual dance though.

p.s. Oh, poor Ruby. Maybe she turned invisible. :-/

That's a link to a site where it looks into one of DMB's songs "Dodo". It's intriguing (to me at least). Check it out if you're bored enough. :)

People are so picky and judgemental about music, I always feel nervous when people look at my ipod or when a profile asks for your favorite type of music. When I say "mainstream" I'm mostly referring to rap. That's what's considered dance music here. Grr.

Yeah, I've played the alto saxophone for... fiiiive years? Mhm, five years. Marching band is really fun, believe it or not. Just practicing when it's hot is the only bad part... and the ridiculus costumes we have to wear- feather plumes on our hats and all. We look so goofy.

Hah, I figured you heard something of the presidential race. The thought of Palin in the White House scares the crap out of me. She'd be one failed heart beat away from becoming president *shudder*. Obama FTW! (that's "for the win" by the way, not the so often assumed "f*** the what".)

You know Hilary CLinton? Most likely. You know what Saturday Night Live is? I really have no clue whether you would or not. But it's a show that's live from New York City every Saturday night that does a lot of sketches and spoof skits. It's pretty funny. There was a skit with Tina Fay and Amy Poehler who did an immitation speech of Palin and Hillary. It's hilarious. Again, if you're bored enough: http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/palin-hillary-open/656281/

Sorry for all the links. Just you seemed really bored since you have off. You know sleeping in, doing nothing, actually reading my profile ;) And thanks, we do need luck!

    p.s. O, mama! It's Obama!
