I was an editor with Abingdon Press for twelve years. The daughter of Mennonite farmers, I grew up in central Indiana. My interest in the American colonial and Revolutionary War eras grew out of the experiences of my Anabaptist ancestors who came to America from Europe seeking religious freedom. My cousin, author Bob Hostetler, and I are writing a fictional treatment of the experiences of our Amish ancestors. Entitled Northkill, it tells the story of the massacre of several family members by Indians during the French and Indian War, and the Indian captivity of several others.
I am married to a crazy motorcycle-riding, truck-driving retired United Methodist pastor, and we live near Nashville, Tennessee. I am a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, Middle Tennessee Christian Writers, Christian Authors Network, and the Historical Novels Society.
