Truth is, I've always been a book junkie. I've bought, read, and given away thousands of books after various relocations and mood changes have caused me to thin my personal library to a core set of stuff I like too much to give away. At this point going back and trying to recreate all those thousands of titles to add to my shelves is a bit TOO obsessive-compulsive and not a little anal retentive...though I'll admit, I'm sorely tempted. Instead I'm trying to curb the impulse by just snagging some of the titles by favorite authors for books I no longer have, and maybe over time will add more of my past reads, but I'll definitely be adding the books I have on my real world shelves...um...soon as I find them all. I've got bookcases strewn all over my place.

Basically, I'm here because I want to keep track of my books in a pleasing visual format. I like it. As for the short synopsis of who I am and why I'm here? Well, if you must know...just read a book - somewhere in there is the cranky bitch with a heart of gold. She's probably better looking and thinner than I am, with a sinfully rich and drop-dead gorgeous man falling at her feet, but heh, can't have everything.
Who'd want to? There's no STORY in it.
