As it sits right now, anything showing up under Owned is available (although I would have to check some of them to see if I actally owe them...more »

    Hello!
I just finished reading 'Maya' and it was again worth it. I thought the beginning was a bit different, less poetry like but more fiction. But it soon dissapeared and was completely Jostein Gaarder alike! The last part of the book is really great, but then again: so much in the book is great. :-) Hope you can enjoy it too in the future.

Hey! Was searching for this one book 'The Baghdad Blog' by Salam Pax and you happened to be the only person to have it on your shelf. There isn't much about the book on the web. If you have read it, could you please put some more light on the plot or the themes in the book. This is important to me. Thanks a lot :)
Take Care .. Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks so much for being a shelfari friend! WOW - 3222 books so far on your shelf! That is awesome!! I love a great mystery and thriller story also. My favorite authors in that Genre are Harlan Coben and Brian Freeman. Paranormal books are great too! Have you read Victoria Laurie? I especially like What's A Ghoul to Do?

You're welcome. According to Shelfari, besides the Dead End Job series, she has another series about a Personal Shopper with Josie Marcus.

Hi Jebbie! Thanks for the friendship. Yes, I remember you from LibraryThing. :) Shelfari is nice to look at, and LibraryThing has some good features, so I thought I'd try both. One of these days, I might even find time to list my whole book collection!

Have a great week! --Lisa :)

We are having our 3rd day in a row of sun so the snow is melting. There is still a lot in the bush. It is suppose to rain tomorrow so that will get rid of even more snow.

Sophie's World is for me such a beautiful book. I like philosophy and this book gives you the whole philosophy course through a great fiction story. Also the other garrder books are beautiful. It is fiction but it doesn't feel like you are reading a fiction book, they go so deep. I suggest to combine reading it with another book if they go to slow for you. Maybe Maya goes a bit slowly for now, which normally I don't liek at all, but in his books you know it isn't ana ction, fast fiction book. It is going deep in your thoughts, thinking, asking questions and so on. Hope you will like his books (a bit). I normally don't recommend books easily because people's taste can be so different that I would ahte it when I said it is a great book and then the other person just finds it completely boring! :-)))) When you do read something of him,let me know what you think!

    Hi Jebbie
Did you read something by Jostein gaarder before? He has a complete own style. After watching your shelves, I am not sure if you would like Maya. It goes slow sometimes and is philosophic. I like his books a lot but I think for you it will be an okay or not okay book, so nothing great. But of course I hope you will read and say it was really great!!!!! :-) Sophie's World was really good.
