Hi. I posted a lengthy review of Steph Swainston's The Modern World on my website, www.duskbeforethedawn.net. Also, you may want to look into BookCrossing (www.bookcrossing.com) as a way to get your hands on a copy of this and other books.

Hi. Just finished Steph's "A Modern World". Highly recommended. At first (kind of like the first ones) I couldn't figure out where she was going. But it all pulls together and her descriptions (of battles, of flying, of one estate that reminds me of Versailles) are excellent. I am writing a longer review to put on my website, www.duskbeforethedawn.net. Should be up by this weekend. Larry

Hey there! Nice to hear from a fellow Biology enthusiast. You have an impressive shelf, and I noticed "Stalingrad." Is that any good? I've been meaning to look into that one.

Hi. I notice you have both of Steph Swainston's books. She and I traded signed copies, so I am now engrossed in her third one, A Modern World (called Dangerous Offspring in some parts of the world). I'll let you know my opinion when I am done.
