Favorite childhood novel: Tequila Mocking Bird

Tequila had a hard life growing up in provincial France to liberated ex-patriot American truffle hunters, with her only true friend in their trusty and adventuresome truffle pig, Sparkle.

    Hi, Ida,

Thanks for the congrats on my graduation. I'm really glad to be done with it. Now all I have to worry about is college...

The stables is going OK. I like it when my coworkers Ali, Mat, and Tyler are around, as I get along with them the best. Kristin intimidates me a lot, as does Shawn, but Derek, Alyssa, Jenna, and Amanda are nice, right in the middle. Plus, Mat's really cute (but he's Ali's boyfriend, so... I can't do nothing.) :(

I'm going to try to graduate with a bachelor of science degree from college, as opposed to the arts, so I don't have to learn any foreign language... as I haven't ever taken any... We'll see if I can dodge that or not. I hope I can. ].[ And yeah, I'm not the best planner, but I do have good wits when it comes to me needing them, I think. If not, I try my best.

I'm currently trying to finish up a fan fiction, actually. What I have written down as a final chapter or two is 19 pages and it's not finished. I'm trying really hard to finish it, so I can split it up into several chapters to post and hopefully finish the story. I do want to write a sequel, because I know this story will end up unfinished and needing conclusion, but I just don't know when I'll have time in the next few months to write, or even if I'll get ideas. But I don't want to let go of fanfiction, it's my life, you know? I always say I'm gonna leave it and I end up coming back. We just can't be apart from each other (wow, deep stuff, haha.)

Again, thanks for the good luck wishes and I'm glad you have confidence in me, even if I may not.

    Hey there,

Has it really been THREE MONTHS since I last talked to you? Wow!

Even though it has been so long, I'm not going to say much (haha, right?), but I wanted to just update you on how I've been doing, since I've barely been around Shelfari in the past few months, and I'm probably going to delete my Myspace this summer (sorry, Truvy, and whoever else has me added. I just don't maintain it and to have all that personal information just sitting there, with the possibility of it getting spread, isn't worth the risk to me.) Anyways, some things: I graduate in four days from today, on Sunday. I'm pretty excited, I think, more to see family and such than to graduate. I'm sure it will be an emotional day, anyhow. Had my final choir concert last night, too; it was one of the most amazing nights of my life. So much connection, so many tears, so many memories all packed into about two hours. Crazy, but amazing! Ummm... what else? The day after graduation, I will be starting training to work six days (and sometimes nights) a week at a stables. Then this fall, I'm entering college, hoping to major in vocal (for now, since I got a scholarship), office administration (which seems more... job acquiring after college... than a vocal major does), and I'm still considering veterinary technician studies (I'd have to transfer twice, including once out-of-state, to complete that, though, so I'm not sure.) Other than that, not much else going on with me, just being driven nuts by all the graduation preparation in these final few days. I will probably not be writing at all this summer, and I don't know when I'll be writing this fall, due to my unknown college schedule, because Shelfari isn't exactly my forte anymore, even though it was for a while.

I guess that's all from me. Sorry if this is too long. I guess I had to cram a lot to say into a little (well, sort of... haha...) message. Hope you are doing as well as I am and have a great summer, if I don't talk to you before I start working and college and all that jazz.

    Eclectic Book Club Peeps:

All righty, let's have those nominations for our next big read. What's everyone in the mood for?

Post your selections in the "Genres" thread and we'll hash it out. If that takes too much energy, I will put all genres nominated in a hat and pick one at random!

More exciting news at the Suspense & Thrillers Group…as you might already know that Keith Katsikas, author of “2060: The Newton Prophecies” will be leading a discussion on his book. We don’t have a date set up yet, but will in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, Amanda Stevens, author of THE DOLLMAKER, has also agreed to lead the discussion for May’s Group Read, which is THE DOLLMAKER. I’m really excited as this is something new and might become a new trend with our group discussions. If you’ve already read the book, come join us. If not, see if you can grab a copy. There’s still time as the discussion won’t begin until the first week of May.

    Hey,

I was going through my notes this morning and I came upon one of yours, in which you and I were talking about British literature (when I was taking the class.) Well, a few weeks ago, I had my final for it, and I got an A on the final (94 percent, woot!!!) ^^ I'd gotten A's (only one wrong, darnit!) on the past four tests, too! I was pretty proud of myself for my last few results. ^^ Just thought you should know, since we had been talking about that.

Yes, I've heard it a million times about Internet safety. Which is why I don't have my real name on here, or on other places. Not even on my Email. I have my real first name, but only my last initial. ^^

Bomb threat aside? Wait- what??? OK, missy, now you've gotta explain!!! LOL.

*Laughs.* Yes, of course, "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!" XDDD Paranoid old bugger... XD But we love him anyway, Barty Crouch Jr. or not... ^^

I am trying to finish my current fan fiction, Undiscovered (which I believe you started reading; that was you that left the Ida's Remix, not? You still haven't told me if it was or not!) and after that, unless something of seriously good inspiration comes around, I'm going to be taking a long hiatus from fan fiction, or maybe just keeping it down to some fluffy stuff.

Take care and I'll talk to you later,

Well, I've already talked to Graham about it (he's added as a friend.) He lives in Birmingham, England, and I don't know who he is in real life, but at that point, I really didn't care. I just needed someone to talk to about it. Plus, you seemed interested in Kenny when I was first talking about him, way back when. I trust you. ^^ I'm pretty sure I trust a majority of people on this website, except for like, the 12-year-olds I've gotten notes from in l33t and such... drives me nuts! But I think this is one of the safer websites out there, and there isn't really even any precautions to make it so.

I'll send you a private note about it sometime today, explaining what I think happened. Honestly, I don't know. TTYL, anyhow.
