I'm a book person. I gravitate towards non-fiction books, but not exclusively. I love fiction, but I generally see it as "playtime." At this point in my life I feel like I have much "work" ahead--in learning more about the universe and the nature of things. Being curious, books have been my primary means to learn about the world and interact with profound ideas. The library was one of my favorite places to go as a boy.
While I have been recently begun listening to some audio books, I still prefer the feel, the weight, the smell of a well-made book.
I began collecting 5 years ago. My experience thus far is that my library shares only small, segmented overlaps with those of my friends. I am curious to meet others with more similar book interests and to find out what they are reading. I've put a few of my books on shelfari to help facilitate us finding each other!
