Dear Helen Taylor Little friends,I know this is very hard to believe but due to the fact that Helen was the only one that had the passwords to her page in Shelfari this is the only way the family had to communicate to you. Helen passed away July 12, 2008 from a massive heart attack at her home in Florida. The memorial service was Monday in Florida then her body was flown back to North Carolina for burial in Mebane, North Carolina. Thank you for the friendships and encouragement that you gave her. Remember that she will always be in our hearts and through her words and books that she has left behind.Again, I am so sorry that you had to read this here but this was the only way I could pay tribute to such a wonderful and talented woman.We all know how caring and kind she was. My favorite is Industrial Magic. It is the best one in the series. I liked Jaime's development as a character in No Humans Involved (and I am a Jeremy fan). Check out the short stories and novellas on Kelley's website too, if you haven't already.

Thank you for the tips concerning the Karon books! I will purchase the first one and work the others into the reading I am already planning! Too many books - not enough time!! I bet you know exactly what I mean. :

Someone told me about that you can click on a person's shelf and look at the bottom left for "books in common". If you click on that, it'll show you what they are. Pretty neat! I'm going to bug all my buddies ...Books in common: 50
Have you begun Southern Living yet? Just the title sounds appealing! I'm especially fond of the Southern dysfunctional family as a reading topic. Guess I'll quit being so lazy and go to my library site and take a peek to see what it's about. See ya!

I want to read more classics this year, so I've ordered up some Hemingway, Kafka, Tolstoy and Dylan Thomas. I also love modern fiction such as "The Life of Pi", Dean Koontz, ect.What are your favorites?
