This quote is from one of my favorite books, These Is My Words by Nancy E. Turner. An uneducated woman from the early 1800's keeps a journal, that is, the best she can. On the trail to Texas she finds a deserted covered wagon full of books, these is her words (and it just tickles me):
"This wagon is a treasure chest and I am suddenly struck greedier than ever in my life. I want it so bad I am just beside myself. All these words to read and know is more than my insides can stand and I am trembling all over with excitement."
I guess that's how I feel when I walk into a library or a book store!
I am going back to school (computer tech school) so that I can go back to work (SAHM for 12 years). I left Microsoft when I was told I was going to have twins. Since I'm pretty creative, I found that I really like working with my hand so I started a small jewelry business (just selling to friends). I love the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and sitting around talking to my friends. My kids are a barrel of laughs and I enjoy spending my time with them too. I've lived in Washington most of my life, except to attend college in Oregon and Tennessee. Oh, by the way, I love to read too. =) But, I really didn't get into books until after college. Feel free to send me a note! I admin the Page Turner Group, the idea is to find a book that you just can't put down. Leave any suggestion on the bookshelf.
