I am a retired teacher of English and Drama who writes and paints. My first novel, Gentle Journey, was published last year. I have traveled quite a bit, mostly in Europe because my husband of 35 years was a travel agent. He passed away from cancer. I have two wonderful grown sons and five lively and wonderful grandchildren My life is very full with singing for and leading our church Charismatic Prayer Community and writing several more novels and painting. I just had an exhibit of my paintings for two months in an art gallery in Ft. Lauderdale. I also love to read to relax and putter in the garden. My favorite type of books are inspirationals, historicals, self-help (especially writing and painting), biographies, and Regency Romances. (The sweet ones) I like walking on the beach, laughing with friends, tiramisu,lobster, crab, cheesecake, horses and all fauna and flora, waterfalls, mountains, and the glee I see in the eyes of my grandchildren. The books you see on my shelf are only books that I have read that made some impression on me. Some I have reread often. I've read plenty of others that were forgotten promptly or long since. I have begun reading quite a few recently that were supposed to be good, but I ended up throwing them at the wall and starting another book.
