Hi, Geoffrey. I have a blog. I've been getting some guest bloggers for a few weeks and Now I'd like to begin some book reviews. I've read the first chapter of you novel and I like your writing style. Perhaps you'd like to send me a few more chapters. Then if you like we could do a Q/A session.

Thanks for the response. Obviously should have appeared as a comment rather than a reply. I am amazed anyone found it. I find even shelfari difficult to get around, and it is one of the easier book sites. I agree with all you say, and sorry I explained the cost thing so badly. A lot of people are happy to send free copies of books to all who ask, and some are not. I just mean't the problem of people saying why should I pay for a book, in order to write a review, when mine is available free to the world.
I am sure all these things have been tried many times, and I am just ranting, but on the spur of the moment I thought I had a good idea.
In the funny old world we.... there are more authors than ever, but fewer readers. I mean people who read books rather than blog life away. Just seems to me that most of the readers are authors of some sort, so we either buy each others books or else fade away. Overpopulation will lead to mass starvation and population collapse, unless we feed each other. Of course a few chosen examples will be well fed in zoos, but they will have been pre-selected by the Zoo keeping (publishing) houses anyway. You may have guessed- I am writing science fiction. Have a good day, Richard.

Re: the note below, you can mention that I asked you to post something (so people don't jump on you for self-promoting).

Well, I came crawling back to shelfari, as you may have noticed.... I would love to know about your research process for writing A Gift for the Sultan. Would you be willing to post a discussion sharing about how you do research for a historical novel in the Writing Readers forum either here or on goodreads?

    Hello Geoffrey Fox.
I recently spent a few days in the “Gran Sabana” in southern Venezuela, one of the more ancient places in our planet. From where I live it is a day trip by road. It was a novel experience for my youngest daughter; sleep in a tent in a native camp, bath in waterfalls, navigate a rushing river by canoe, see large waterfalls and majestic “tepuyes”, sense the immensity of the vast plateau of the plains in the middle of the jungle, and more. For me, it was the opportunity to meet again with the place that inspired the first of four adventures that give life to my fiction novel in Spanish, always motivated to communicate realistic and positive messages to teens and young adults.
It is a fiction novel of mystery and adventure and is available by Amazon:
(La búsqueda de los verdaderos tesoros: La guía, la llave y el salvoconducto.)
    www.createspace.com/3552658.
    www.amazon.com/dp/B004QGYXES.
You will find that you can read part of the novel and also that there are some Book Extras that may give you an idea about it.
    My best regards, Bernardo Lorenzo.

    Mr. Fox,

Just read the Kindle sample and posted a partial review here and on Amazon. You have a great historical novel that reads like fantasy; and that's a good thing.

    Hey there Geoffrey,

Hope you are well... I just joined shelfari and noticed the discussion you started about your book being translated to Turkish. It's been two months since you asked if anyone wanted to review, and I was wondering if the offer stands. I'm Turkish and actually moved to the country from the US eight months ago. I'd like to see your take on that bit of history as well as learn more about how the publishing is going here.

Well, hope to hear from you soon,
    J.
