    I watched the movie last weekend and it was ok - I enjoyed the book so much better. Thinking I will read Daemon this weekend since Ike has us closed down.

    Hi and welcome to the Chiller group! Our authors for August are Stephen King and Dan Simmons. Feel free to read any of their books and post what you read, your review, etc. in the thread for August reads. If you do not want to participate that is fine too, just letting you know what is going on. There are also some other threads I want to tell you about. Introduce yourself, where you just tell all of us a little about yourself and a title game is going on if you want to jump in. Feel free to start your own discussion posts and browse our growing group shelf.

    Any questions at all just ask, same for suggestions or ideas. If you would like to be added to the list of people that receives group update notes, please add Diamondgirl as a friend and leave her a note letting her know that you want Chiller updates.

    I just read the book and that was scary enough, I am not sure how I will do with the movie - I may never sleep again!! In the movie do you know he's schizophrenic in the beginning or about the same place you found out in the book??

    Thanks for the suggestion of Dead and Gone, I loved it and it scared me to death. I put his books right up there with Steven King, they both are phenominal writers and I can't put either of their books down. I cannot wait to read Daemon.

    Fabulous. I had to order both books since Borders only has them as special order, but Amazon.com had a great deal on them. I have been dying to read Daemon since I saw it a couple of weeks ago, I should have picked it up then, but hindsight is always 20/20. Thanks so much for your book recommendations I really appreciate it.

    Having a great week, and you?? Getting ready for the beautiful fall you lucky Northerners get?? I have to admit that is one thing I miss living in Texas, the changing of the fall colors.

    I took your advice and made Harry Shannon a friend. He has a great shelf. Is he the author of Daemon?? That would be cool. How are you doing?? Any good reading lately??

    Well...I hope then that my 1st sci-fi novel, along with the entire trilogy doesn't disappoint you, Ms. Fullmoon.

    It's been a long haul in getting the 1st novel done...and I'm just working on the bookcovers...yes, I said plural bookcover(s). For each version will have it's own different cover on it. The covers combine live models with photo-realistic painted backgrounds, etc... So it's been a lot of extra work.

    The unique cover producing process is such involved insanity, with the length's I've gone to, to do them; that I'll be blogging about it all on my Myspace site, my 360 site, as well as here too.

    I'll let you know when the book is available...should be around Dec. 1st, 2008.

    Thankx for your support;

    More exciting news at the Suspense & Thrillers Group…as you might already know that Keith Katsikas, author of “2060: The Newton Prophecies” will be leading a discussion on his book. We don’t have a date set up yet, but will in a couple of weeks.

    In the meantime, Amanda Stevens, author of THE DOLLMAKER, has also agreed to lead the discussion for May’s Group Read, which is THE DOLLMAKER. I’m really excited as this is something new and might become a new trend with our group discussions. If you’ve already read the book, come join us. If not, see if you can grab a copy. There’s still time as the discussion won’t begin until the first week of May.
