hey frankie, i've been thinking for a while what to recommend you. i just recently finished A Thousand Splendid Suns, written by Khaled Hosseini, author of the Kite Runner. I think you would enjoy both of those books. Soon, I'm going to start reading A Long Way Gone, it's the book in all the Starbucks store about a child soldier's experience in Sierra Leone. If you pick it up we can read it together!
