    I agree with you the movie with Mel Gibson was much more interesting and enjoyable for me. I too read the book many years ago before the movie came out, and didn't remember enjoying the book as much as the film. That doesn't happen too often for me. I usually prefer the book to any movie based off of a book, because I feel there is so much more detail in a book. :)

    I'm the one that invited you as a friend. I happened upon your bookshelf while I was blundering around here. I was surpised to see that you read almost the exact same books that I do. Plus, you seem to be an avid Tanith Lee fan! She is one of my favorite writers and though I am always recommending her books to people, it seems that I remain one of her few devoted fans. It is good to see that I am not alone.
