Pieces of My Sister's Life is now a USA Today Bestseller...

I always have my nose in a book-usually read about three at the same time-read while I'm eating, watching TV, sometimes even driving (don't try this at home.) I live in New Jersey farm country, with my husband and two cats, and my husband and I are in the process of...more »

Hi Elizabeth, I just wanted to leave you a little note about your novel, "Pieces of My Sister's Life." I just finished reading it and I am so delighted to talk to the actual AUTHOR of it! I was obssessed with this book and It comes as no surprise to me that it is a best seller. Congratulations! It was so well-written, you should give yourself a pat on the back.

I do have a reccomendation for your next novel though: If you could make a book totally out of your element that would be fantastic. I would love if you wrote a book about a minority particularly the homosexual lifestyle or a different race/culture. I would be thrilled to read about that. You are such a talented author, I know you could do it. If you need any help/ideas/inspiration.. just ask me here:]

    bravo!

How are you doing? Your book sounds like a good read. I have discovered that having a book published is quite a bit different than what I thought it was. It is still a great experience though!
I have a son who lives in NJ. He moved there over 10 years ago. It is 1600+ miles away from us in Texas. It is a beautiful state and we understand why he loved it there.
Check out my blog at nansjourney.blogspot.com

    Elizabeth-
A few months ago I discussed having you chat with my online group about "Pieces of My Sisters Life." Would you still be interested in doing this? I've created a shelfari group page for our club and I thought that we could post questions for you, or you could post questions for us, and we could answer them when it was convenient for us all. I thought this might be easier than doing a live chat as was previously discussed. Let me know if you are available--I'm sure you're pretty busy getting ready for the release of your book!

    Hi, Elizabeth,

Thanks for your sweet note. Yep, Clint again! Gotta get my mileage from that hunk! hehehe ...

I have your book, but working my way through a new author and his 500-pager, then there's one more before you in my queue (which seems to be getting longer). I'll write the review as soon as possible. I know it's outstanding; I've read the reviews.

I'm delighted that you're going to read and review 1106 GRAND BOULEVARD. Our mutual Shelfari Friend, Linda (see comment below) who wrote the fabulous STAR-CROSSED that I've already read and loved and reviewed) read my YA, THE TOONIES INVADE SILICON VALLEY, and gave it an excellent review. She's a perfect recommendation for me. I sincerely hope you like GRAND.

You are off to such a great start and I hope it continues for you. I'd die for a good publisher. Sigh ...

    Hi, Elizabeth,
Your notes bring me JOY. My sentiments exactly about Ted, but the newspaper I owned then was endorsed by the Building Trades Unions and was their official voice and since he did do a lot of good for working people, I had to admire that part of him.

But Clint is the better person of the two and accomplished mega things on his own. One thing I like about him is that he's well-liked by both MEN and WOMEN and has so many diverse talents. A living legend!
Yes, being a journalist was a lot of hard work but had many fringe benefits. You would be good at it, but I like being a novelist much better (even if MY pay isn't nearly as good). Now yours probably is getting there, which encourages me.
So you like cats, huh? Well, I'm going to post my next photo in your honor too. hehehehe ... It's about time I retired Senator Kennedy, don't you think?

Hi there! I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your book! The suspense of what caused the rift between the twins kept me turning the pages. I LOVED the ending; I was afraid everything would be all tied up in a pretty bow, but you handled it beautifully. I'll be recommending this to everyone I know! Again, congrats on a fine piece of work!
Oh, BTW!!! I grew up in NJ, East Brunswick, & still have family in Old Bridge & Jamesburg. =D
