What? Wow! That's exciting news! I'll have to keep my eyes out in the promotions section. I probably have her blog bookmarked. I'm not at all surprised that someone would choose you to contribute to their reviews blog. Congratulations :o).

    Thank you for your welcome.
Had to think about how long I have a BDB fan. I started reading BDB when there were only two books out. I eagerly await these books. I relly enjoy JR Ward's descriptive abilities. It is as if she paints with words.
I am looking forward to reading all the posts and getting to know the folks in this groups.
I hope that you have a great rest of the day.

I just read your review for the second KGI book. Great job with that! I agree with you about Sophie's reluctance to tell Sam the whole truth. I was frustrated by this also.

Are you referring to the comments in the PR/UF group? It is a fine line between being honest and not offending fans of the series. When I first joined shelfari I didn't realize everyone could see my reviews and I had to try and go back and change a couple that I may have been a bit too honest with :o). There's actually still one floating around out there that is a bit too colorful that I have never been able to change or delete! I do find it hard to read comments that seem to suggest that fans must either enjoy unintelligent plots or that they are not well read enough to be able to choose a good PR for themselves. I'm quite sure that's probably not the intent of the commenters but I did feel a bit put out when I read it.

I agree with you about when Lash came on the scene with the Lessers. I found that that connected it more firmly to the overall plot.

Lol! It's hard to hear isn't it? I am a poor sport when I hear people dissing TS or Outlander. I really can't take it :o). I think as far as BDB is concerned the fans far outweigh the naysayers. These conversations have made me ponder what I love about the series and I really think Ward's strength is more in character development than creating strong plots. I love the series but will admit to skimming the Lesser stuff because I find it a bit boring. What are your thoughts?

Cool, Jonetta. I posted a little info on the promotion thread. Thanks for reminding me. I agree about the annoying factor when an author does drive-by hard sells. I've recently started a Twitter chat group (Sundays, 4-5 pm EST under the hash tag #mystreads) that is for readers, but there is one guy who uses it to drop promo tweets without regard to any discussion. I mean, come on! If you're a mystery writer, why not relax and talk about books you've read instead of alienating everyone by being a nuisance. I was a reader before I was a writer and always will be.

Wow, Jonetta, THANK YOU! How nice of you. I try not to promote when I'm here as a reader. Seems rude. There are other venues where I do openly promote like Twitter and my FB author page and I do have a board on Pinterest with my book covers, but I labeled it "Blatant Self Promotion" so people are warned. :)
Re: cozies... I wouldn't really call Enemy a cozy, although for a long time I called it a traditional mystery. For one thing, there is some cussing but not the "big" ones. I've so far successfully avoided the F-bomb even though I don't mind it's placement in stories that call for it. At any rate, I think Enemy falls somewhere between cozy and suspense.
Either way, I really hope you like it!

Good to know...usually with group reads I give an extra push to read through. I am trying to get through some library books and then will hopefully read The Camel Club.

What you may not realize is that the "Brennan" name wasn't on as primary (at least the way it looked on the queue.)

    OK - why?

Why not just combine this one with the Rose book? You don't need to do any contributor changes on the combined editions?

I replied via email: You can either resubmit the contributor change or go ahead and combine that edition with the rest of Rose's editions of that title.

(I think I'll just skip anything involving Rose from now on!)

    Thanks,

I remembered the title because I have read it BUT I, evidently, don't remember who wrote it!!!

I looked at the Amazon page and saw Brennan's name. Have you validated that Amazon did, in fact, make the change? I've been "fighting" over a cover change with them for about four months. They keep saying that they have made the change but it is still in error on the Amazon site.

If that is what is happening with this book/edition, there is no point in attempting to change Sheflari's page. It will just keep getting rejected and/or still showing up on searches for Brennan's name because Shelfari uses Amazon meta-data for those searches (doesn't really matter what is on the Shelfari page if it disagrees with Amazon's data.)

    Let me know!

Lol! I remember. I'm already on the list for the other two books. A couple of my coworkers are reading it and they're really enjoying it. I have to finish Dead Witch and I already took out the next Kelley Armstrong book from the library and it expires soon so I'm just going to have to stop sleeping I guess ;o).
