I am Donna Anglin, a retired English/history teacher in Hamilton, Texas. I read, lead book discussion groups, play a lot of online bridge, and give book reviews. . I am putting books on my shelf that mean something to me and that I think are worth discussing. I welcome conversation about any book on my list.
I have 8 grandchildren, six of whom are in Hamilton ISD schools. They keep me very busy. My daughters are busy career women and I find myself doing many of the same things I did thirty years ago: sitting on the parking lot waiting for the bus, watching endless games, carpooling to the club for swimming, shopping with teenagers....you get the picture. The two books that everyone MUST read are THE ROAD and NO GREAT MISCHIEF.
However I do find time for travel. I have been to Europe thirteen times and to Canada many times. Last month I took my twelve year old grandaughter on a tour of the Canadian Rockies. Two years ago I took two teenagers to Sligo to learn about yeats. One of them said," I NEVER intended to learn this much about one Irish poet!" LIfe is full and exciting. « less
