I'm a professor of English, and for me there's no such thing as "pleasure reading," at least in the way that most people use the term. Every time I have the chance to pick up a new book, I'm always thinking of how I might be able to use it in my research or how I might incorporate it into a class syllabus. So I rarely just kick back and read in a consumptive way. Still, I read a lot and find most of what I read a pleasure. « less
