Writing and books have always been a big part of my life (so much so that at one point I was working on devoting my life to teaching literature and to dabble in writing fiction). Ah, but life has a funny way of prioritizing paying the bills over following ones dreams. To that goal, I've shifted my focus to work in Technology and leading a great groups of folks. Now the most exciting things I get to write are EXECUTIVE POWERPOINTS!! or SYSTEM DIAGRAMS IN VISIO!!! oh joy! I do still love slipping away once in a great while and exploring some far-off land.

I really should spend more time updating this darn thing, there are so many good books I've got but haven't "uploaded", and then to sit down and comment on all of them... it's a whole job itself.

I've got pretty varied tastes, as my shelf can attest. « less
