Gaiman tells an anecdote in which he was introduced as a comic book writer and was met with obvious disgust. When he mentioned what he wrote, the guy corrected by saying, no, no you don't write comics, you write graphic novels. Gaiman likened it to be calling a Lady of the Evening rather than a prostitute.
