I'm sorry, I don't really want to RP anymore. It brings up bad memories for me because the friend I used to RP with and I stopped speaking on really bad terms. Thank you for the offer though.

Thank you. For finally reading some of those. The poems were up just cause. I hope you'll try to read the one beginning I don't think you got to read yet. And please, if you find time, post your stuff too cause then I can help you out! :) I know you don't have much time on computers, but every effort means a lot to me. :)

I had a friend that I used to RP with all the time and we would just make up our own RP, mostly fantasy based. I never did anything based on an anime or game or anything. It was just an informal fun kind of thing. I also used to RP on forums but I found that frustrating, having too many people just makes it too complicated in my opinion. Anyway, I stopped when my friend and I stopped talking.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was spending time with my son... In answer to your question, you will be much better off self publishing... I say this for several reasons..
First, most people don't realize that the publishing world has changed a lot from what it used to be 30 to 40 years ago.. Now, everything is done online... Most writers get published through self publishing. The cold hard reality is, that traditional publishing houses don't want that many new writers.. They would much rather have a stable of well established famous authors that can turn out sequel after sequel..books that they can be guaranteed to make them money. I read a sobering statistic that said traditional publishing houses accept 1800 fewer new writers every year. They make their money off of the sell of books, while self publishers make their money from authors, not the sell of books...
You could waste the next 10 years of your life as well as your money, submitting your work to traditional publishers, and never be accepted, or never even hear back from them. Most will not even look at a manuscript, unless it has come through a literary agent, and they cost money... Even if you got accepted by a publisher, they will be making 80% of the profit...not you. They will also control all the rights to your book. They will decide how long it stays on the store shelf depending on how well it sells. Then, when they take it off, you would have to buy back the rights to your own book if you wanted to publish it again with someone else. But most times they will never sell the rights back...
If you self publish, you will control all the rights to your book and keep 100% of the royalties. Keep in mind that most self published works dont sell very well. It all comes down to your marketing effort....But that's not the real point is it.. The point is to get published. A good company can help big time with that.. The two top rated self publishing companies in the country are: Mill City Press and Outskirts Press. These companies were rated by other publishers and authors in the business... I went with Outskirts Press because they are a little more affordable and have greater control options. I think their pakages range from $300.00 dollars to $1200.00.. Mill City is expensive, but are better geared toward marketing your book, although Outskirts press is pretty good.. They did a great job on my book.. very professional quality... I would stay away from places like IUniverse or Tate publishing as they hide some of their cost, and have had a lot of lawsuits.

Self publishing is easy and not that expensive..... Check out Outskirts Press and Mill City's websites and let me know what you think...
    Eric........
