Hey I actually found in your book on one of the imfamous three shelves in the back in the corner in the dark of our downtown BORDERS store... CONGRATS for making it to the 'hard to find' African American Literature section! haha.

And of course you book My Daughter's Boyfriend was on the shelf of our only AA bookstore here. She tries to carry one copy of everything.

How are you? It is nice to meet you, also. I appreciate you accepting my extension of friendship. Thank you for reaching out to me. Yes, the cover thing happens, but what can you do. It really is all in the packaging. You have packaged it so differently that a first glance I doubt if people will notice. I guess the proverbial phrase holds true: Great minds think alike. When I saw it, I knew that it was the one, and my publisher knew it too when I showed it to her. She told me stop looking. You can relate to how it is looking for the cover that is perfect for your work. It really spoke to me and captured the themes in my novel, especially intimacy. I look forward to networking with you and reading your work. I wish you much success as well.

Hey Cydney,

There is no doubt that NYC is the greatest city in the world. :) There is no comparison and in the ideal world my husband and I would be able to purchase a 2/2 condo. on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, but life in TX isn't so bad. My husband and I go back and forth. We miss it desperately...that's home for us and where all our friends and family are...but the cost of living is much less expensive in TX. My Sydney is only 2 so she just comes along for the ride. :)
