My name is Cindy. I have 2 children ages 20 & 24/ My photo is a picture of my dog Lady that crossed over the rainbow bridge in October of 2006. She was 13 1/2 and was absolutely the most precious dog ever to walk on 4 paws. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her.

I love to read and joined a book discussion group 4 years ago. ... more »

CinLove - I'm reading CeeCee now for the 2nd time. Well actually the 1st time was an audiobook. I want to go back now and highlight some of the text. I think you'll really enjoy it. Sally

    Hi Cindy,

I finished Water for Elephants last night.. I LOVED IT!!! This is now my favourite book this year.
I have looked at The Help and yes it is available here.. I will try to get it and have a read...
I know a bit about that era and the issues there.. even if we havent had exactly the same problems here.

I have just started to read Life of Pi by Yann Martel.. but not far enough in to know whether I will enjoy it or not yet.

I decided long ago that if I am not really interested in a book then I leave it.. sometimes I go back to them, but if I dont there are plenty of other books to take their place. Life is too short to waste my time readinga book I dont like.

Anyway. I hope you find something good to read over this weekend..

    Hello,
    How are you?
I have been looking through your shelf and you have some interesting books. What sort of style are the Fanny Flagg novels.. I might give her a go.. which would you suggest?
I am reading Water for Elephants which I am enjoying so far.. Secret Life of Bees is my favourite read so far this year.

Hope you have a good weekend.. with lots of time for books..

Hey, Cin. Weird. When I talk books to you I can do it here. When I talk knitting, I can do it on Ravelry. What if I want to talk to you about something general - or books and knitting?

Geez, this world is getting crazy.

    See you soon.

Hi. Try to read the latest books on my shelf. They are really interesting and different. Twenty Wishes is just a light read but very enjoyable. Hope all is well. Sorry we couldn't talk in the library. I guess you can't do lunch because of your school schedule. Take care.

You have to read the new Jeffrey Archer book. It is called Prisoner of Birth and is a great thriller.

Hi Cindy. I don't really know how to use this website. Sala's gift was excellent and I highly recommend it. I don't remember if the library has it but I think so or you could interlibrary loan it. The author who is Sala's daughter spoke at B'nai Tikvah last year and was very interesting. Hope all is well. I have a rotten cough and fever.

Hi Cindy. I'm the moderator of the "Local Book Clubs" group. Thanks for your input. I also noticed that we have quite a few things in common. I also have two children the same age, 16 & 20 (both girls). And our beloved Butch passed away in February of this year. He was 15 yrs old (that's a pic of him on my shelfari profile). Hope to see you around the website here. Sally

    Hello ((((Cin))))
Giving you a big hug for your summer of health issues. It seems we have something else in common because I too endured surgery this summer. I didn't have to go through the type of surgery you had, but it still kept me from vacationing this summer. It wasn't too bad as I did get alot of visits from family and I had lots of time to read this summer also :)

I'm currently reading "Nefertiti" ,but since I started back to classes two weeks ago it had been really hard to have some free time for reading :(

I'm originally from Kearny, NJ hun. Not sure where Dayton is, but maybe you are familiar with Kearny?

I hope your enjoying your holiday weekend! I have just been told that some of my poems were selected for publication on an E-zine webpage. If you are interested in taking a peek you can go to the webpage :)
