    Hi Charlene,

I'm new to this site- just finished my profile. I noticed that you had my book, 'The Dolls'. I was embarrassed to find that I missed some typo's- it was pointed out in an unflattering review : ( I wanted to let you know that I have since revised and professionally edited the book. I completely changed the ending and I think it's much better! I would love to send you a complimentary copy, if you would like. Please let me know : )

BTW- I'm a cat lover, too. It's funny- I notice many of the people who have my book are cat lovers . I guess great minds think alike...

    Thanks & take care,
    Kathleen

    Hiya, Charlene! :)

I am not being "good" about Shelfari, but I'm trying to keep up over on Goodreads, updating what I'm reading and so on.

I have a cat who drools when he's really happy. He doesn't drool all the time, only when he's lying on your chest or something, purring wildly with a glassy-eyed look of bliss on his face. I've learned to keep a kleenex handy to catch the little dribblet jewels before they drop in my face! lol

Yes I do. Although it depends on which books of his you have. They have a movie coming out of "The Woman". His book "Offspring" has also been made into a movie. A couple of others.

It reminds me of Endurance and the other 2 by Kilborn. Have you read The Woman by Jack Ketchum?

I've been stalked before :-) lol! I really liked American Gods. Of Gaiman's work, it is one I like the most. I would not mind re-reading it sometime. Shutter Island was freakin' great. Glad to have you on the forums!

Happy New Year to you too Charlene. I had the same problem with one of the sites, I can't remember if it was this one, face book or one of the others. I remember that when I looked at it after I down loaded it it was cropped so severely that you could only see part of it. Many happy reads and take care!

Hi Charlene. I followed you over from Goodreads.... BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Man stalking people is sooo boring. I mean it's ALL about the other person right? You use a different picture in this group huh? Well, talk to you on one of the boards. Best regards.

Charlene- I did read it and enjoyed it very much. It reminded me of the movies Paranormal Activityand The Bad Seed thrown together. Quite creepy! She did a very good job for her first book. I hope she writes more.

lol, I wish you hadn't asked. I am a little ashamed to say I am reading the teen series, "The Witches of Santa Anna". It kind of good in a "Twilight wannabe" way. I'm just about done with the second season, so I'll be starting Night Eternal tomorrow night! YAY~

Charlene, I'm so glad!!!! YAY!! ^_^ It makes me feel good when I suggest a book and someone loves it as much as I did. You gave me such a wonderful idea about going back and trying to track down some of that music that's mentioned in the book(s). I am a fan of the blues also....sounds like a good project. Thank YOU for the inspiration! ^_^

It seems that I am in the minority on this one! I have found that a lot of people had objections to this one. I could see the direction that Simmons was going and I thought it would have been better had he done a few things differently. The story was really what I enjoyed. Growing up in Denver I could picture a lot of places that he placed in his book, and the thought of Cherry Hills falling so far was a laugh a minute. I was also prejudiced by the fact that Simmons is one of my favorite authors. Call me cynical but I can see this country possibly being sold down the river in the near future if the politicians in power do not realize that America is one of the greatest countries and one of the most beautiful places in the whole world. That being said I was also biased by another favorite author, McCammon, and rated highly his newest book The Five. Have you had a chance to read this one? And by the way I do not mind at all that you follow along as I trip the light fantastic through the wonderful world of books. I may be slowing down a bit for a few months as I am going back to school for a while. Slowing down maybe but definitely not stopping. Looking forward to hearing from you. Take care and enjoy those books!
