I wish I could think of something witty or literary to put here, but alas...Interests: reading, baseball, folk music, blues music, Bob Dylan, satire, coffee wasting too much time on the internet, and procrastinating. 20 in college. Hi Ho!

On second thought my profile picture just reminded me of a witty thing I didn't come up with. It is... more »

Yeah, I'm an English major. (I enjoy history too.) James Joyce is really pretentious, but I suppose that quality is what draws English majors to his work. Nice Groucho Marx picture, by the way.

Well, I'm at 98% on my Kindle, so pretty close. I've only read Ulysses by Joyce so far, and it was just "okay." Yeah, my semester is about to start, but I've managed to read quite a lot this summer. During school I still manage to read, just not as much. Are you an English major?

When I first started it, I felt the same way - Part I is hilarious in, as you mentioned, a "Monty Python" way. Part II, however, is pretty repetitive. I know Part II is about deception and tragedy and all that, but it's just dragging on at this point. (Cervantes should have stopped after Part I.) I would definitely recommend that you read it all the way through, though, just so you can form your own opinion. I'm planning on reading Finnegans Wake after Don Quixote [_[

I'm about to finish Don Quixote (been reading for about two weeks). How are you finding it so far?

I couldn't pick a movie. I love them all. I also adore the quiz-show Groucho did on his own - "You bet your life".
In case you've missed it, there's a lot of clips of it on Youtube.

Woody was quite the character, too. I really enjoyed his book "Bound for glory", and, of course, his music.

    Thank you very much.

Not really a guitarplayer, no. I know a bit, but I would by no means call myself a guitarplayer.
I'm pretty good at the piano and violin, but guitar I just know enough to get by.

I love your avatar picture. Groucho was incredible.
