I'm a writer...very recently published, as a matter of fact. My first novel, Sister Light: Of Shadows Series, should be releasing (if all goes well) around the holiday season. I work full time as an advertising consultant, and part time at a video store (I like to see the movies before they hit the streets *smile*). I'm married to a wonderful...more »

HI BB. Thaks for accepting my invitation. It feels rather strange to see my book beginning to appear on poeple's shelves. At least now that amazon have loaded the cover of A Study in Red, people can see what it looks like. I'm so pleased because the cover design has been nominated for an award.

Thanks so much for accepting my offer of friendship.

I hope you are having a wonderful and blessed day.

    What are you reading?

I also just finished Phillipa Gregory's The Other Boleyn Girl," and am now reading "The Constant Princess," by her also and "Daughter of the Game," by Tracy Grant.

I too am a writer. I am presently working on a novel that stems from the third story in my first work, a set of interconnected short stories set in Oakland, CA where I live.

You can read about my short story collection, "Keeper of Secrets...Translations of an Incident" and me at: http://anjuellefloyd.com

Please visit it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Again thanks for being my friend in reading and at shelfari.com

Hi, I would like to invite you to a new group I have started on MySpace. It is called Kris's Cafe'. I am fairly new to MySpace and I'm not sure how to go about inviting people except to have their email. If you are interested, send me your email address to: poets_heart@hotmail.com.

Thanks and hope to see you soon! By the way, I am still working on photos so it will probably take me a little time.

    Hi, BB!!!
Believe it or not this is the only pic I have online because my best friend sent it to me. It was from the recent Christmas party that I went to with her family. Hopefully, I will have more soon. I don't think that it's very good because I had to cut out the other people. I guess you have to do what you have to do.

You sound like your business is booming! I have not done any book signings. I have not gotten a very good response from the bookstores. This is especially because the publisher does not give discounts to them.

I am actually having a very hard time with promotions. I have subscribed to some of the advertisements in freewebs.com but I really haven't gotten too far.

I know that your site is "jumpin'" and I know that you looked at mine, so I just thought I'd confide in you about this. I wondered if you might happen to have any suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Kris

Thanks for the note.....You were right work did help some. I work at the mall today so that probably won't help at all with seeing all the pregnant women and the babies. Anyway, I know it will happen one day. I am just so ready now.

I will put your book signing on the calendar. I am so happy for you and really ready to see you too. It's been too long. I saw Shell and Becky at the mall on Black Friday of course. Got the drilling : ) I will make sure and be at the signing. I hope I get my book by then. I ordered it in October. I e-mailed them but I haven't gotten a reply yet. I am anxious to read it. Well, Time to do homework. Take care and thanks for the note. I love you too. Talk to ya later.......

BB, you sound like Stephen King! Wow! You are writing very quickly! I take forever. Right now I am in the process of moving and my puter is packed up. Sigh. When I get things up and running, I am going to try to knuckle down and work on my novel. I am about 1/4 through and that is embarassing! It is a story that I made up when I was in elementary school, believe it or not, and now have made some changes to fit the times. I consider it somewhat like Planes, Trains and Automobiles meets Walt Disney. It's for all ages. It's an old tale with a new twist, I would say.

BB, thank you so much for the thoughtful words you put on my guestbook. I am in the process of adding some material from "Windwalker" to my site. When that project is complete, you'll be able to find out more of what my book is about or what it reads like.
    Thanks again,

I'm so uplifted right now. Through my vigorous campaigning....a scholarship has been named in honor of the memory of my sister-in-law to whom my novel, A WOMAN SCORN'D is dedicated and is available for applicants up until Feb, 28, 2008. If you know of anyone who can benefit please have them go to www.thetonyablountshow.com. Tonya put up the funds to start this scholarship and I am so gracious to her for her efforts.
