Freeman has been promoting his book all over Shelfari book groups. He's not doing the slightest bit of research as to what the group is discussing. He's just spamming.

    Hi,
Our paths have crossed in groups but we've never become "friends." I'm happy to do so now:) Thanks for the invite!

Is anyone ever ready for fall when summer has been so fun? Travel is sometimes still fun but too many people also do it. German beer is better than a latte. I found that there are too many castles and churches in Europe, but also enough parks and flowers that make walking such a delight.

Now that you finished What's Eating Gilbert Grape you must see the movie. Leonardo DeCapprio should have won an award. The actor who plays Mama really did die shortly after finishing the movie.

Hey, I see you have the southern vampire mysteries on your shelf, would you reccomend them? HBO is starting a series based on the books and I was curious.

If you can't make it through "Breakfast of Champions", his "Slaughterhouse-Five" is also very good.

Ooh, I may just read all three :) I will start with "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy; I'd read about it in a recent Rolling Stone article and thought it sounded good. Thank you!

I see that you have "Party Monster" by James St James as a book you'd like to read. I recommend it highly, but you also need to watch the movie afterwards...Here are two others that you may like as well: "Breakfast of Champions" by Kurt Vonnegut (it will have you laughing out loud) or "Everyone Smokes in Hell" by John Ridley (this book I merely stumbled across at the library - best accident ever!). Hope you enjoy :)
