I've been a book junkie since I first learned to read. The reading circle in the children's section at the local library was my favorite place to be. Throughout junior high and high school, I would sneak books into the bathroom to sit in the tub and read until my parents would find me and try to get me to go outside. And, of course, there were all those nights under the covers with a book and a flashlight...
Is it any wonder I became a writer?
My shelf is pretty eclectic and my reading tastes have changed a lot over the years. I go through phases with my reading. Sometimes I'll start reading a particular author, buy and read several of his or her books, and then get burned out and move on to another. Other times, I have several very different books going at the same time--like my reading shelf now.
I'm still trying to remember all the titles of the books I've ever read, so I can add them to my shelf. I know there will be many that I've forgotten, especially from my teens, but I'd still like to see how many I can actually remember...
