I'm sorry if I go overboard with questions ... But how long did it take you to get your first book published? Is your original book anything like what it turns out to be after the cutting process? How do you get it published? I mean I know you have to get it approved and everything but do you just send your rough draft to a publisher and see if they like it?

Is your new book anything like the movie The Breakfast Club? Because I loved the show Freaks and Geeks, and I love the Breakfast Club ....

Well good morning! I signed up on Shelfari last night because my sister-chick has been raving about it for months. Since I usually follow her lead (I am an admitted and resigned follower of my best friend, she just has too many great ideas and fun adventures), I am now hooked! We are holed up at a cabin on the Salmon River at the base of Mt. Hood in Oregon. The rain has developed into a deluge, surprising right? At least Oregon is GREEN because of it. Not to mention it is a great opportunity for us gals to find some great new reads while the hubbys tromp through the trees and mud. Even though it is just nasty out, they relish any gross and slightly dangerous trek that allows them to come back pounding their chests and bragging about how manly they are. Needless to say, I am quite excited to try out your books, finding a new author is such fun! Even if I have to head back to reality and four adorable yet LOUD children today :) Best Wishes!!

Thanks, we have an unfortunate stereotype. I'm in the suburbs of Chicago. I'm planning on getting your latest book in the fall.

Thanks for the friend request. I read Overachievers and Pledged. Pledged is why I bought Overachievers. Can't wait to read about the "Geeks". Looking forward to May 1st!

Hello Alexandra. Your new book title interests me. I have noticed a major difference between those who follow the pack and those who remained outside of it with regard to after high school success. Of course, success can be measured in many different ways. I look forward to reading it. Have a wonderful day!

I LOVED Secrets of the Tomb. Reminds me of the types of papers I used to write in grad school. I've only been out 2 years but I miss it. I would like to get back into writing but its so hard to find a topic that hasn't been researched to death!

I was in sorority for 2 years, but a house mother in one for 5 years. An interesting 5 years they were. Loved the book "Pledged." An accurate portrayal if there ever was one!

I hear you on that. If only I could convince my job that paying me to read is SO MUCH BETTER than paying me to do what I'm doing. No dice on that argument yet.

Thanks for the friend request. I really enjoy your books. I read Pledged too and found it very illuminating. I had no idea what went on in sororities. I work as a high school librarian and regularly recommend that book to girls. They are fascinated by it and I keep having to order more copies to keep up with demand. I think there are quite a few teenage girls that won't be pledging sororities went they start college!
