I really agree with you about the overuse of the word Spiritual. I have a favourite quotation that I like to live by, "holding anger is poison. it eats you from the inside. we think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. but hatred is a curved blade. and the harm we do, we do to ourselves."

I would love to attend a black book expo, thats the problem with where I live, nothing like that and I live 2 hrs. from Detroit.
How was it? How are you?
I sent it as a private note to your email, just because it was about your personal life and mine regarding our children. I hope you find it in your email, I think thats where private notes go.
Im good, had a relaxing weekend. Trying to read this new book, The Color of Family by Patricia Jones.

Hello, Alexander! I believe you are an author, promoting your new book. That may not be right in some Shelfari groups.
These notes told me that you were dyslexic. It is remarkable that you are an author! Do tell us about your experiences.
I am sorry to know that you lost a child. I am a pediatrician and I love children.
    Regards. TC

Hi Alexander! I'm here on behalf Author, Author and wanted to welcome you to our forum. July's featured author is Connie Willis, and we have two alternate authors, Michael Chabon and Kate Wilhelm. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by any (or all!) of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Feel free to look through our past authors, or chime in about July's. Also be sure to stop in around mid-month each month and put your name in the drawing to pick an author. Happy Reading!
