I thought it was a really creative concept, and impressive in the way they made it all fit together. That's one of the things that I think every story, whether a book or a film, has to have.

I loved Inception - the others I've only heard of, never actually watched. I do a lot of socializing online myself, since I used to keep very odd hours.

Indeed. One of my biggest problems is just making myself write on a daily basis. There always seems to be something else to do. That's partly why I'm also not too familiar with a lot of films. What are your favorite films?

I don't plan a whole lot - if I get the spark of an idea, I'll write down a sentence or two so that I'll remember it (I also don't remember things), but I like to leave the story undeveloped until I've gotten through the first draft. Otherwise, I find that I lose interest about halfway through or I'm too confined in what I write. Generally, the process of writing the first draft develops characters and plot for me, although it leaves a lot for editing then. So in contrast to you, I don't want to know where the story is going until it gets there - it's more like reading in that sense. I write fantasy and scifi primarily, since that's what I usually read.

What's your writing process like? I've done some writing - not published, but it's fun.
