Hi Angelia, How's the family? I haven’t talked to u in a long time. My family and I are doing good. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!~An'Jenic~
I see you read Thug Lovin too. Were you as disappointed as I was?? I couldn't believe Wahida changed Trae & Tasha's story so much. I guess there's no happily ever after in street fiction.
In a moment of pique and frustration Virginia wrote an open letter to Oprah, and shared it with a few writer friends who are going through the same thing we are. Now the letter has started to go viral--getting a lot of repostings and inclusions in blogs, newsletters and on Facebook, so in case you hadn't seen it, we wanted to share our plight, the plight of many black authors with you, readers who have supported us all these years. http://twomindsfull.blogspot.com.In reality Oprah is just a metaphor--a name that might get this subject the attention it deserves. Because when you have a publication like Library Journal listing their 31 Best Books of 2009 http://ow.ly/HDU7 and the "genre" fiction list includes Street Lit --8 books but no category for contemporary African American writers, we are really in trouble.
Hi Angelia, I'm doing great. Glad that the first round of holiday festivities have passed. Right now I'm re-reading "The Wedding" by Julie Garwood. I tried reading Holiday Kisses by Gwen Forster but it was so boring that I put it down. I'm waiting on "Tis the Season" by Brenda Jackson that features 4 stories, that I really hope are worth the money. I like her but she's a bit pricey cuz we had to order from her online store because it won't be sold anywhere else. I hope it's worth it.
Hello, Please let me know what you thought of A Deep dark Secret.
I believe it is...unfortunately I haven't been able to finish it do to my hectic schedule...I'm only on page 59...but everything I read so far is definitely in Consequences: When Love Is Blind...so you definitely don't need to get that one...I hope to finish it before the week is out...even though I'm re-reading what I read in the first book it's still a GREAT read...by the way I don't know if I told you...but I love that picture of you and the kids...very nice...as always Happy Ending :-)
Hey, Angelia...you don't need to get Consequences: When Love is Blind...I believe the author upgraded the original...all you need is Consequences if you decide to purchase or get this book through paperbackswap.com...Happy Reading, girl :-)
Hi Angelia, how're you doing today? I'm glad you commented about Christmas Diamonds, I get tired of buying books that aren't really good. It's a real waste of time and money cuz even if you sell it at the 1/2 price store, you get peanuts for it. I'm reading an oldie but goodie "Welcome to Leo's".
Thank you for the names of the books!! "KEEP MOVIN DON'T LOOK BACK"
K. Caprice ArradondoMichael Collier…You left me here without a father figure.Who would have known you’d go before I got bigger?Birthdays, holidays, and seasons have gone.Did God take you intentionally to see me do wrong?Memories of you in my mind aren’t close to visual. It’s like I knew you, but lost you when it all got critical.A black child with no father—it’s typical. In your case, to me, it’s sort of pitiful, but I forgive you for losing direction.Wish I was old enough to tell you sex is a weapon, but I couldn’t, and now it’s too late,so I’ll see you when I get there and greet you at heaven’sgate!(Wrap it up) R.I.P Michael Collier.
Hello Angelia,Zuri Day will be joining the discussion of Body By Night at the Black Romance Book Club Friday 16 Oct. I hope you can make it. Bring your questions and have a great time.PeaceDee
Hi Angela, thanks you for joining me..I see that we have some books in common....right now I'm reading Praticing What You Preach by Vanessa Davis Griggs....it's pretty good so far.
Hey, Angela,I made a new book trailer for my latest Kimani novel, Meet Me in Paris. It was tiring: totally wiped me out. I used my Sims as actors, and they can be as tough as the Hollywood kind. It’s on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gpX19KM8jc or on my site at http://www.scribble-scribble.com/books/books.htm
Hi, Angelia. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view. A story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. I’m including here the publisher's notes from Amazon.com. You can read samples at shelfari.com by entering the title. Let me know what you think. The honor would be mine.Book DescriptionCaleb, an elderly Jew, leaves the safety of his home in Cana on a mission to find a man he believes is in Jerusalem. Miriam, Caleb’s only remaining child, accompanies him disguised as a boy. In the desolation of the war struck Galilean countryside, father and daughter risk their lives to journey south on the Jordan River trail. As they walk, Caleb intrigues Miriam with a captivating story of his youth that will change her future destiny. A story of a time forty years prior when he became a sandal maker in order to observe a man some called the Miracle Worker. Caleb secretly kept notes of the events he saw and heard as he followed the crowds. With his objective, skeptical point of view, he reveals the fascinating ministry of the one he called the “Master.” Heart pounding perils and the threat of death endanger the two travelers, but nothing could foretell the fate awaiting them in Jerusalem! From the PublisherA. Michaelson's new novel, The Sandal Maker, takes the reader on a fascinating journey back to the year 70 A.D. in worn torn Palestine. The author creatively weaves two stories together, one in the present, the other in the past. Heartwarming, enlightening and tragic, The Sandal Maker paints a portrait of one man's life and his involvement in how the gospel came to be.
Thanks, Angelia!

Hi Angelia, just stopping in to wish you a happy Friday and to check out what you're reading these days. Right now I'm in the Christian Fiction of Lutishia Lovely. She has 4 books focusing on 2 pastors and all the folks saved and unsaved bringing their drama and I must say that I'm really enjoying the series.
