    dear Sidrah
today i checked my e-mail and found your note on this, they actually are agha khani (ismailee), shabbo has confirmed this, beacause one of the lady in the picture is recognized by her as an agha khan hospital's employee.

regarding the person sitting next to you, probably he must be agha khani and he wants' to have those pictures.

    how is every thing else.

as soon as i get time i will put the books on the shelf.

Wa'alaikumassalam. Writing about myself is always a difficult task for me. I always think very hard before writing anything about myself. The recommended book list never existed so it is not gone anywhere. I will update my virtual shelf soon InshaAllah. But before that, I have to order my real books :-)

Thanks for your advice. I want to discuss one of Coelho's books as an example of his books. Alchemist is well known and hailed as his best. But what about the rest? People either find them very good or awfull. I quite enyoyed The Zahir and there are lots of cross references to his other books. I have not read "river", but will definately do so. Have you read The Zahir. Most people did not like reading it.

oh no...there are A LOT of clear grammatical mistakes in the rest of the newsletter. u might have not noticed them
dont take it to heart bhai! thats what writers do,,they can't possibly include everything people say..they use their discretion to judge what is relevant and what is better to be included. So as far as ur reply is concerned u r right i was restricted by a word count. i think i actually cut out some of ur quotes when i was finalizing the draft to meet the word count. Why ur words were cut can be attributed to my judgment of what was better and more important..i felt what u had said had been said by others in a better way so i went with theirs on the same point...n well lets say thats the liberty a writer or an editor enjoys...to use what they consider relevant and correct...so if u want that liberty u better start writing urself! :P since i had limited space i had to decide which things were more important to be put in...n so i did..u can differ obviously cuz those were ur views...but well u cant expect me to include everything as it is...keep that in mind whenver u give ur views for anything in the media..n dont take such things to heart... :)

I dont have the old copies for sale right now, but i could arrange for them if u want.
You can also get them directly by calling them up at the Hiba office and placing an order. They will send the courier to deliver the copies u want at ur home...n u can pay in cash then n there...no need to go thru the trouble of writing cheques/transfers etc.
Hiba was initiated in April 2004...there are 4 copies per year...old copies r available for Rs.125
You can subscribe the same way...by calling them up and asking for them to send the courier to pick up ur subscription n the cash from ur home...he will charge Rs35 extra for the courier service..but once u have subscribed..the latest copy arrives at ur home as soon as it is out with no delivery charges. By subsribing u save Rs. 100 as compared to buying all four copies of the year from a store or sales person...n with the subscription u get an additional copy of Hiba kidz for free as well as other reading material (such as pamplhlets) on current topics which are often inserted having been sponsored by some org or individual..eg. stuff on Eid, women's protection bill, expose' of Khuda ke liye film etc...other notices/ads of islamic classes/activities also come occassionally with the supscribed copy in its envelope...
Tell me whatever u decide..u can call them up urself for the old copies or I could arrange for them if u want...
    Glad u liked it :)

Im good alhamdulillah!! Well, as far as I understood it, Salt and saffron was about class divisions in Karachi, Pakistan and how those divisions effect our lives, attitudes etc...also highlights how people have pride in their backgrounds n also how it is very difficult to cut across those social/class divisions
heyy..I'd like to meet u in uni...wanted to talk to u about studies..IR etc
by the way, do you know about Hiba magazine? Its a great muslim lifestyle family magazine published from Karachi. I'm working with them..have a few copies they've sent me to sell...would you like to buy it?
