“The books format is strange in that there are 12 short segments told from different points of view. They're all different, but connected, and episodic in nature. It's best if they're all read in order, because each episode more or less gives the reader clues as to who the werewolf is and how it happened in the first place.
It tells the story of a mysterious werewolf that terrorizes people of this small town in Maine. The reoccurring theme of these "episodes" seems to be that people are continually being stupid and/or showing their bad sides. One of Kings favorite things to do in these stories of his is expose humanity for the vicious, evil race taht it is.
I recommend this to 8th grade and up due to the themes and references in this book.”
