I started reading when I was 4, and have been reading ever since. When I was 13, my school counselor told my best friend and me that we read too much and that books were like drugs. I'm still addicted to them. I'd say I could stop anytime, but I'm pretty sure that would be a lie.
I live minutes away from the mountains in Colorado, in a small city that has a fabulous bunch of writers, visual artists, musicians, and actors. Most of my friends fall into at least one of those categories. I tell stories and I write. I also sing, but mostly in the shower.
I have two roommates whom I've known for nearly half my life. Every year we throw a big party for Talk Like A Pirate Day. The biggest party I've helped throw was on October 23, 1997, the day (re: Bishop Usher) the Earth turned 6000.
