“My hero, Allison Morris, Senior Editor of Scholastic Books, recommended this book on one of her book talks, and I wasn't the least bit disappointed. This book told the story of a boy who has a horrible facial deformity, even after numerous corrective surgeries, who starts school for the first time in middle school. The book is narrated by him, by his classmates, and by his sister and her friend. Having the different perspectives tell the story really brought it to life and helped me think about the situation more openly. I was brought to tears more than once, and I really loved this book!”
