Right now, I am in eighth grade! I love many types of books, so it is impossible for me to get all of them on this book shelf! Science fiction and mysteries are my favorite genres!

Thanks for your kind words, and yes I did see that there may be some confusion over who Ergo is…it’s amazing the kind of really subtle corners you can write yourself into with first person POV. I’ve been experimenting with ways to solve that—but without altering the flow of the narrative continuity, that is.

    It’s always something. :-P

John Dickson Carr fit that category, but I don't know if his are still around. He wrote a lot, so some might still be out there, maybe second-hand. He also wrote as Carter Dickson.

Freeling wrote what I would call 'interesting' - very European, very much character-driven. More realistic in a way, because he goes much beyond just X kills Y + how. He shows the culture in which the crimes arise. I love his few mysteries - he also wrote other stuff I haven't read.

Josephine Tey wrote ingenious plots, died early, only a few books but well regarded.

If you like Christie, might also like Ngaio Marsh if you can find hers.

Haven't been reading much mystery in recent years. Always like Josephine Tey, Nicolas Freeling, John Dickson Carr.

Been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil in my grubby little fist. Short stories, then a lot of poetry. First novel in 2000, 2nd in final (I hope) edit, two more in progress.
