This book took me awhile to get into but man am I glad I didn't give up. This is a really awesome book. Definitely if it wasn't for how slow I felt the beginning was this would be a five stars and a favorite easy. Once I got to a certain part I was hooked. I love the detail the was put into this book and the plot was very good. I really enjoyed the world and the characters that were created and long for the sequel.

Does not compute...... Why was this even made? Why waste the trees? I just really don't understand but then I guess there must be people out there who eat stuff like this up. Just find it kind of sad the author will be getting richer for making this when she could have easily just wrote another House Of Night book instead, in the hopes of getting us closer to the end of that series. The good news is I didn't actually buy this book, was only influenced to borrow it. lol! :)

A good start to a series. Truth be told I only started this series because I wanted to read the third book. lol! But hey this isn't the first time something like this has happened and I'm sure it wont be my last, knowing me. lol! Anyway I like the premise, it's different yet original in its own way. The characters are alright and I was happy for the humor the story had. I was a really quick read and I look forward to the second book whenever by chance that I'm able to find it. :)

Really good for a kids book. I don't read too many kids books much anymore but when I do I always hope that they will come out being this good. The story is beyond average and I could see many things that were going to happen long before they did. No, for me it was the characters I liked the best and just the overall feel of fun the story had. :)

Why does it feel like I'm maturing but this series is in no way trying to do that? I feel like it should have ended a long time ago in book five. The grown ups in this book all except for one I can think of are beyond stupid and the teens are not too far off. Also another indication that I know this has lasted too long. At one time I never had a problem with this immature dialogue but now I seem to be noticing it more and more, it's beyond irritating. The main character Zoey has still never redeemed herself in my eyes. I haven't liked her since the first book and now it just seems like they're trying to make more twang version of her in the form of Stevie Ray. To be far I was never a huge fan of the character anyway. I'm just happy that I no longer have to be stuck in Zoey's head all the time. This book just overall felt pointless to me. Except for one thing that does happen to a character that I kinda am starting to care for more now. Granted that would only make three characters I care about but oh well. Between the pointless deaths, the plot feeling like it's going in circles, and a villain that should have been taken care of a long time ago I just feel not much of anything is getting accomplished in these books. If anything I wish the authors would spend more time making the book longer so maybe there wont be so many more and this series can finally find an end.

This was a pretty good start to the first of a series. I don't know how long this series is now but there looks to be a pretty good amount of books. lol! I hope to continue this series soon. I'm not sure about the other characters just yet but I did find myself liking the protagonist which is always a good sign in my book. The idea was rather simple if maybe a little tad different but really good and fun overall. :)

A book I found I had trouble putting down. I really enjoyed the world and how thanks to the descriptions I was able to picture it. Great characters and really nice plot full of twists and turns. Strangely though originally I only gave this book four stars but the more time I was given to digest what I had read the more I found myself really loving this book. Very much looking forward to the next book in this series.

This book had a LOT of hype surrounding it and it didn't help that by the time I got around to reading it that a movie based on it was soon to come out. lol! I liked the idea but found it hard to picture some of the things they were telling me. I also only really liked two characters but then that's better then none. I'll give you a hint neither were the main three characters. lol! Anyway it was a good fast read and I really do want to read the next book. So overall I'd say that's good. :)

Yes I know it has its flaws but I really did enjoy this book. I read it in one day and really couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the characters even if they weren't really anything new. I really loved the magic and the story. I found it a really fun read and I only really wish that I had the second one already. :)

So far this is my least favorite in this series. I feel like it took way too long to get where it needed to go. Granted some things FINALLY got done at the end but truth be told I really wanted this series to be a trilogy. The characters and world are decent enough but really I feel like things should start getting tied up here soon, but then that's just my opinion on it. I know this series has its fans and I'm glad I just don't see where it's giving me anything new or anything I haven't really seen before. It doesn't help that I'm really not a faerie fan. I was hoping these books would change my opinion on that but still no luck.
