Thanks Jeannine! It's probably going to take some time to input my books, but what fun!
I'm confused too. I don't think that it's a story that can easily be understood. It's one of the only books I read where I ended with the thought, "I have no idea what I just read."
I'm not exactly sure what to make of it. My edition came with a bunch of translation notes and short essays about the story. I read some of them and I'm still sure sure what I read. I think that the idea of people keeping their own Gregors inside themselves is good. The notes explained it as if Gregor was the something that the author kept in himself. Some disgusting view of the act of writing. But this can apply differently to each reader. Each reader may can something about themselves that they don't want their friends and family to see. What if you were to wake up and you were wearing this thing in a physical way?
What did you think of The Metamorphosis?
I downloaded it as a stationery years ago, then trimmed it for this.
You've got some interesting books in your shelf : Alan Watts, Hardcore Zen, Vonnegut, Murakami .... nice!
oh, you should remove that note.... it didn't work :'[
The beauty of what is.
Pasta shops okay. Why do you like Neuromancer? I'm curious why you do.
